Actions in Progress : Job Training Grants

Through the Arizona Department of Commerce Job Training Program, more than $800,000 in training grants have been awarded to northern Arizona companies. Many sustainability-oriented businesses could take advantage of this opportunity.

  • Identify 10-15 existing sustainability-oriented companies from the SEDI focus areas—resource-based industries, energy efficiency & renewables, green materials & products, sustainable tourism and home-based industries.
  • List the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes that pertain to these companies.
  • Use the NAICS codes to identify all sustainability-oriented businesses in Coconino County.
  • Invite these companies to a "Money Talks" event sponsored by the Flagstaff Area Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Flagstaff Economic Council that explains how companies can receive financial assistance to train their workforces.
