Resources and Opportunities : Five Days of Wonder

The City of Flagstaff's Convention and Visitors Bureau promotes a 5-day auto tour of northern Arizona based in Flagstaff. While ideally the tour would be via public transportation or tour bus, it does an excellent job of promoting awareness and respect for the region's natural and cultural attractions.

The tour begins with the best of the history and science of Flagstaff—the Museum of Northern Arizona, Riordan Mansion, and Lowell Observatory. Day 2 stays local, with a Scenic Skyride on the San Francisco Peaks and a visit to the Arboretum. The essential day trip to Grand Canyon follows. Shorter trips to Wupatki, Sunset Crater and Walnut Canyon National Monuments make for a busy day 4. The fifth and final day takes in Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona, Jerome and Tuzigoot National Monument.
